Fruitland Fairytale

Greetings from Fruitland:)

We are counting the days until we get are going to "Take off eh!" to Canada:) We even checked out one of the Harry Potter books on CD for our trip (definitely looking forward to 24+ hours in our van:)

This week has been filled with basketball and life. We travelled to Weiser Idaho (20 minutes away) for Jake's two basketball games Saturday morning. Jake continues to improve and his team is doing well. Somehow we managed to pull a McDonalds stop...something about McDonalds and sporting events...they seem to always go together...go figure:) It was a fun chance to be together as a family. We stopped at the library on our way home.

We barely had time to turn around before Sarah and I had to be at the World Wide Training session at the Stake Center with training on the new handbook. The kids stayed at a friend's house while we were gone. Sarah and I really appriciate the renewed focus on the family with the new handbook.

Friday night Sarah and I went to the temple and then went out to eat (do I sense a pattern here that involves food?:) It was nice to go to the temple.

As far as kid highlights, well everyone is doing well. Little Brooke definitely is an entertainer as she has just been telling us stories at the dinner table. For a 3 year old she definitely has some spunk and she can even write her name...crazy. Little Maddie is our sweet little service girl, who is always looking for ways to give service. Kate is doing well at school, just passing her math minute for subtraction (I think). It was her special day yesterday and we decided to make coasters with clay and imprints of leaves we found in the yard (still waiting for the clay to dry). Jake as mentioned is full swing into basketball and is really liking it. Sarah continues to do it all and manage all the chaos we give her.

Hope everyone is doing well. Hope you have a great week!

Love

Dave, Sarah, Jake, Kate, Maddie & Brooke
