What an awesome Labor Day weekend we had! We were celebrating Kate's baptism and Brooke birthday. We were spoiled to have so many family members visit us...we were loving it!

The festivities began late Thursday night as Jordan/Luci and troops arrived. To make things even better Friday the kids did not have school and so the party started early. Friday afternoon Michelle and kids arrived and we all went out to Christian's pond for some zip line craziness, canoe crashing, frog finding and resort building, and of course fly bys (smoke included...thanks Uncle Jordan:) Thank goodness there was a bbq afterwards to take care of the appetite we had all worked up. Then it was rocket building time, this time Uncle Jordan stepped up the design by adding LED lights to light up the Fruitland night. Grandpa/ma Dow, Grandpa Hardy, and Aaron and Gina arrived Friday night to join the festivities. We even had our inaugeral (spelling?) of our fire pit...it was awesome!

Saturday was of course little Brooke birthday and we celebrated it with breakfast and presents or should I say presents with breakfast:) Yes our little 2 year old is now 3. She continues to be filled with lots of energy and an occasional stubborn streak than keeps her parents humble. Brooke started pre school this last week and is definitely a "big girl." One quick story, Sarah went to pick up Brooke from preschool and found them coloring inside instead of playing outside. The teacher stated that one of the little boys got hurt outside and so they brought the activities inside. After questioning Brooke, Sarah got Brooke to confess, "ma, I push him" Later that day, after continued parenting attempts aimed at encouraging a little less violence, Sarah had a lunch group with her friends where Sarah warned Brooke that she was to be nice and not push the other kids. As the lunch progressed it was interupted by a little girl crying (not because of Brooke) and then Brooke running out and yelling, "I no push her ma!" We love that girl:)

After the birthday celebrations, it was time for water slides and more rockets and fun. It was then time for the reason for all the celebration and great guests...Kate's baptism.

Thanks to Sarah setting a deadline, somehow the Hardy's were actually 30+ minutes early for the baptism (definitely a record:) All the cousins were to sing in the program and so we practiced several times (although they looked very cute we probably could have practiced a few more times:) Kate looked amazing in her white baptism dress, a true princess. She is such a sweet girl. We are so proud of her for chosing to follow the Savior. The baptism was amazing and aferwards she recieved the Holy Ghost. The Stampfils even came to her baptism. What a great feeling to be a part of such an important step in a little girls life with so many family present. Way to go Kate!

The festivities continued late into the night Saturday...thankgoodness we had a late church. Our guests left Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and we were sad to see them go. What an amazing weekend. It was so nice to have you here for Kate's baptism. Please come and visit us again!!!

On another note, this blogg thing is getting more difficult (as you can tell my posts are a week or two behind or non existent. Let's see how much longer this keeps up...it must be a sign of my old age!
So many more things to share but no so much energy or time to do so...

Thanks again to everyone who took time to come and visit us...we loved it!!
Love
Dave, Sarah, Jake, Kate, Maddie & Brooke
