It has been 2 weeks (I think) since our amazing trip to Utah and SanDiego. There are tons of fun stories to tell and lots of neat pictures to share but sadly it will have to wait for another time (when the "old" writer gets a little more energy:) Let us just say it was "Awesome:)"
As for this week...there is also much that has been happening at the Hardy home. It was the first day of school Thursday and the kids were SO excited. Jake is in 4th Grade, Kate is in 3rd and Maddie is entering the wonderful world of Kindergarten (Brooke will also be going 1 day a week for a couple hours to pre-school:) Sarah did everything to make it a fun and memorable day - and it was! The kids all have exceptional teachers and great classes.
Jake started tackle football. All this week he has been practicing/trying out. The coaches made their draft choices Thursday night and we totally scored and got the best coach (he was Jake's basketball coach). Jake is learning the world of football and so we keep our fingers crossed:) Jake and I picked up his pads and equipment Saturday, maybe we can set our sights on the CFL:) Saturday afternoon we went over to the Stampfils to practice hitting with pads...where is uncle Aaron when we need him:) Now to see how practice goes with pads:)
Kate and Maddie - the birthday girls. Saturday Kate and Maddie both had birthday parties with friends. Kate had chosen to have a pizza party where they all made chef hats, aprons and then made personal pan pizza's. Little Maddie wanted a water wonderland but due to the cooler temperatures the activities were changed to games and then the hot tub. Sarah managed all the excitement while Brooke napped and Jake and I went to the Stampfils, and then Brooke and I went for a drive during Maddie's party. It was a busy but fun day! We ended by watching the 4th Harry Potter movie (which we listened to on our trip to California).
That about does it for this last week. We are VERY excited for Kate's baptism and all the guests we will be having! We can hardly wait!!!!
