Another week closer to Christmas...wow!
Highlights of this week...
Tuesday we had a couple families over for a "family home evening." One family had just recently been baptised and since Sarah is her home teacher they figured they should probably let her see what a family home evening was like...well lets just hope they had a strong testimony:) Actually it was a fun night, we had pizza and then a little lesson. Sarah had the kids all pick a name of a family member from a hat so they could be do a secerete service for that person every day until their next family home evening. Other than having about 15 little kids running all over the place, it turned out to be a great evening:) The little secrete service was a fun little thing that our kids definitely loved doing this week:)
Friday Sarah and I had a get away weekend in Twinn Falls...sadly it was our first temple trip since the Boise temple closed. It is about a 2.5-3 hour trip and so logistically it makes it a little more difficult. We had the two Mahler girls stay with our kids (and our kids did great...hardly even missing their parents). Sarah and I stopped in Boise at Red Robin (one of Sarah's favorite resteraunts) for dinner and we made it to Twinn around 10:00. Our session was at 8:30 Saturday. The Twinn Falls temple is really a beautiful temple and it was good to make it back to the temple. The rest of the day was spent shopping (Sarah still in heaven and me in outer darkness:) I think we are more than ready for Christmas:) It was fun to get away:)
Today Sarah and the kids had their piano recital. Sarah continues to be extreemly nervous playing the piano but she did just great as did the kids.
Hope everyone had a great week! We love you!
