First was Kate's B-day. The girls both had parties with their friends on Thursday...Sarah cranked them out...Kate's from 10 to 12 and Maddies from 1 to 3...it was an awesome day (other than Dad had to work) and we broke out both blow up water slides and had a water fiesta. Little Mad's birthday was Friday and we celebrated that evening by having a blast at Christiansons pond (zip line, waterslide, swing, boats etc) with a couple other families (and did I mention pizza:)
The girls were given a $$ limit for their presents and so they had fun picking out what they wanted at our favorite store WalMart. Surprizingly enough they both wanted some fancy cakes (which they were willing to subtract from their birthday budget and the rest of us were excited to help eat). Kate ended up with an Apple Shuffle and Maddie ended up with several barbies/dolls/princesses.
Both Kate and Maddie are such awesome girls, we are glad they are part of our family.
Other highlights - Jake had his last several games of football this week (tournament this weekend). In the championship game Jake caugth a pass and then ran through several opposition players for about 20 yards to score a touchdown! It was awesome...way to go Jake.
Sarah did her first triathalon Saturday morning - a sprint. She was extremely nervous but she did great. Of all three modes of racing quess which one got her...you would have never guessed but it was the swimming. I guess the wet suit she was wearing was a little too tight around the neck and she ended up swimming more like me. She did do better than she was thinking even with some longer transition times (couldn't get the wet suit off)...she all ready has her sights on another one in October.
Anyway this blog thing is killing me...it's way too late...where does the time go on Sunday?
