Jake's first day was Monday as he is our big Middle schooler now. Due to the budget cuts the 5th graders have been bumped up to middle school (not something we are all too excited about). He was excited for his first day and things went great!
We then had to wait several days until Thursday for the girls to begin...can I say "excited." They were both up way before they needed to (6:00 a.m.) dressed and Maddie had her backback on:) They both have amazing teachers and it looks like it is going to be a great year!
Brook was the only one who didn't have official school but her and Sarah got to spend some quailty time together and next week Brooke's "Joy" school begins.
Sarah always goese the extra mile (and then some) for the kids. She baked some HUGE cookies for their first day after school snack and made the day very special and fun. We are officially on our school schedule which begins early and ends early (kids have to be in bed:) So far so good. Little Maddie is going to be starting piano in the near future and it is fun to have her be part of our morning routine.
Other highlights...well not too many. Sarah and I finally finished painting Jake's tutors home...that took a little longer than expected but hopefully now we can focus on our yard (the never ending project). I am a step closer to finishing the horseshoe pits though:)
