The kids were SO excited for Mother's Day and little Maddie was up early wanting to get things rolling:) We did make Sarah breakfast in bed with minimal meltdowns of all the kitchen helpers:) Sarah then enjoyed a plethera of wrapped little "treasures" (including cool rocks, a ski hat?, Cinderella hair, pictures, plants and various other precious items). Of course Brooke had to be in the action and provided wrapping paper destruction services:) Thank goodness for Mothers:)
The weeks continue to fly by...I think the kids only have 2 weeks left of school. Highlights of the week would include Jake getting a Griz Kid (kind of like caught being good - only give to 7 kids/day for the entire school)..."Jacob is always well behaved when I am in Mrs. Zieglers class. He sits and listens quietly and follows directions well! Jacob is a good kid:)" - Mrs Benear. Way to go Jacob!
Kate had here special day with Dad yesterday and we built a home for her ZooZoo Pet (spelling?) out of a cardboard box. Let me tell you that is one creative girl. The house ended up looking like our house:) It was fun.
Little Mad is such a sweet little girl, always looking for little ways to serve others. Sarah is going to be sad when she loses Mad to school.
Little Brooke...well our little bundle of energy definitely is talking much more and she is fun to listen to. Just tonight for family home evening she went and got our scriptures for us and then was "reading" them..."Jesus is my friend, this is Jesus's house..." She does have her cute moments:)
Friday was date night at the usual Salsa Grill, I'm afraid our baby sitter is becoming a permanent member of our family:)

Saturday was crazy. Needless to say I had a ton to do in the yard (including mowing the lawn that is nearing jungle height proportions at about this stage:) but there were other things in the wind. The kids had their Spring Fling, where they sing and then march in Fruitland's parade. Jake and Kate both sang and then while Brooke took a nap and I shuttled kids to the school for the parade, Sarah dashed to Boise on the hunt for some greenery and color for our yard from Costco. Maddie, Brooke and I made it to the end of the parade to see Jake and Kate come marching in but sadly not in enough time to collect on the candy that was thrown at the parade:( I had a couple hours before our 5:00 evening with the Stampfil family (peanuckle night again) to do some things in our yard. It was a lot of fun at the Stampfil's, they are such good people and the kids had a blast. As far as the card game, well despite Sarah's love of the game a few minor details like what a club looks like were definite give aways that the Hardy's are not the card sharks you might have thought:)
Anyway Sarah is one amazing mother! We love her and appriciate all she does to keep the rest of us in line:)
Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!
Love
Dave, Sarah, Jake, Kate, Maddie & Brooke
