Disneyland!!!

WOW!

Where to begin...

A journey of nearly 2600 miles begins with much anticipation and ends with some great memories (excluding the 2600 mile of sitting in a van full of 4 kids:)

I can't even do this last week justice but I plan to include a plethera of photos that hopefully will demonstrate the fun we had. Just a brief run down of all the things we did.

Friday we left after my work and made it to a hotel where we stayed the night and then drove for most of the next day (can I just say the longest drive of my life:) to AZ to Ethan's birthday party (Chucky Cheese!) and to hang out with aunt Heather. Sunday was Molly's blessing and so we got to play with cousins most of the day at Aunt Michelles and Uncle Jake's house. Monday Grandpa and Grandma took all the cousins (plus all their energy) minature golfing and to Costco for an awesome pizza lunch. Then it was driving again to LA for the much anticipated 3 days at the happiest place on earth (I couldn't agree more, that is just what Sarah and I were thinking as we were greatful we weren't in the car travelling:) We spent our first day in Disneyland with our friends from Bakersfield and the next day at at California adventure with our friends from Bakersfield...Sarah was in heaven! Thursday was a Disneyland day with Grandpa and Grandma...awesome! Jake's highlights included riding (and driving) the truck on the Indian Jones ride, riding California Screem (the craziest roller coaster around), Toy Story and Thunder Mountian (another crazy roller coaster. Kate was our little fearless little lady, braving any and ever ride she could get on (including the one that shoots you up in the air 800 feet). She also loved California Scream. Maddie was in heaven (espeically when Grandpa was there) - she loved Thunder Mountain and Winnie the Poo. Little Brooke was a bundle of energy (as expected) and she had a lot of fun as well. Sarah was in heaven the whole trip...warm weather (80 degrees) with family and friends all over...it was hard to come home:) As for me, well I'm the wimpy old man who took care of the little kids while the others braved the wild and crazy rides. Thursday night we went back to Grandpa and Grandmas and spent the next day playing with the train, driving remote control cars, swimming in the hot tub, and just having fun with Grandpa and Grandma...it was a great day. Saturday was not so enjoyable...15 hours later we arrived at our home...it feels great to be back!

A big thanks to everyone who was so kind and hospitable (spelling?) Thanks to Heather for spoiling us with house and home, Jake & Michelle for feeding and allowing us to camp out at their home, all the cousins for such a great time, Angela & Katie for making Sarah's day (and for 2 awesome days in Disneyland/CA Adventure), and of course Grandpa and Grandma for everything! We had an awesome vacation! We have some great memories (although we are not interested in traveling that much any time soon:)
