The much anticipated day had finally arrived!!! The kids all slept in the little girls room and at the predetermined time of 7:00am, Jacob texted us with his new ipad mini that they were ready! They were just bouncing with excitement as they tried to guess what could possibly be awaiting them....and did Santa deliver?....
YES!!! Everyone (including Dad and Mom) got nerf guns with enough clips to hold 144 darts. This has made for some fun nerf gun wars, although the best one of all was Christmas night when we turned out the lights and divided up into two teams to play capture the flag with one flag upstairs and the other downstairs. Once you were shot five times, you had to go back to your base and wait 30 seconds...and just to up the excitement, we turned off all the lights, put on some fun music, and turned on Sarah's awesome new disco ball. Oh man, it was fun!!
Here's some other fun pics from the day:
Jacob got Maddie a book that works with both Jingle and Belle.
Santa got Jacob an amazing digital piano...he's a pro!
Maddie got Kate some new hair bands and nail polish for her salon!
Maddie and Brooke got a new art station complete with googly eyes of all sizes!
Perhaps the granddaddy of all the gifts was a......
4 WHEELER!!!
We have had a ton of fun pulling the kids on sleds behind the 4 Wheeler all across the yard and farmer's field. The funnest was when Maddie took a corner too fast and hit the shed...everyone kept on going, but she was plasted to the side of the shed...luckily she thought it was funny too:)
We have had a "wheely" good time!
