Countdown until Thanksgiving

It's been a great week but we don't have any pictures and I am all ready struggling with remembering what we did (happening more and more frequently for me:)

Going backwards this week.  Saturday was Maddie's special day and so we made a Thanksgiving turkey by tracing her hands onto multiple colors of construction paper and tracing both feet to make the body...turned out very cute:)  Then it was off for Jake's second official b-ball scrimmage in Nampa.  His team has improved tremendously since the last scrimmage.  I have been able to go to all of Jake's practices this week and Jake has also improved tremendously...definitely a thumbs up for Jake.  We still have a ways to go before the NBA though:)  Following the game a huge group of us went to Red Robin and basically overloaded them...poor kids nearly starved waiting until the food was served (not to mention us adults:)  It was a fun time though because it was Pam Stampfils birthday.  These basketball games could be a little dangerous though because it puts us a little too close to shopping opportunities and we all know how Sarah loves a good deal:)  We did some Christmas shopping and got home just in time for me to go to the Stake Dance (where my councilor and I have become DJ's...now that is scarry:)  It was fun and the kids didn't even throw stuff at us:)

Friday Jake had practice until 7:00 and then we went out to eat with the Stampfils, while all the kids stayed at home and watched Cars II again...everyone was happy.  Speaking of the Stampfils, they are such a neat family, they even came to church with us today.  They are great friends.

Thursday was crazy night...Sarah and Pam Stampfil plus tons of other crazy women from around here went to the opening of the new Twilight show.  Since it was opening night they rented one of the rooms in the theatre and had a Twilight party (I don't even want to know what kind of party that is).  They all had a lot of fun.  Sarah is not much of a fan of the movies, in fact she and Pam spent the movie laughing how cheesy it was...personally I was laughing in my sleep as they didn't get back until after 3:00 a.m...crazy women:)

All the kids are doing great and keeping busy with school, piano, clogging, and ballet.  There is never a dull moment around with Brooke in action either:)  Today they got into Christmas decorating gear...no stopping them... and so we are now partially decorated for Christmas.  Just a quick note of how thoughtful the kids are...Jake and Kate spent a substancial chunk of their money to get Sarah several Nativity scenes from Deseret Book.  It is neat to watch how giving kids are, they are so happy to give and don't think twice about giving all they have to others...I have much to learn from these guys:)

Hope you had a great week.  We are on the countdown for Thanksgiving...eventhough we will be guestless (probably due to the fear of having to work in my yard:).  We will be spending Thanksgiving day with the Chudleighs...should be lots of fun:)

Love
